Kari’s Elevated Goddess View of Conversations with Goddess M. “Tools for Elevated Living … Intimacy” 04/02/17

Last Sunday on Conversations with Goddess M, we discussed cultivating intimacy with guest Cazembe Abena, Tantra Professional and Reiki Master Teacher.

Intimacy is not just about having a close bond with your partner. Intimacy can be created between anyone and anything in which there is vulnerability and openness; some of the most powerful and memorable moments in our lives are ones in which we or someone else displayed great intimacy. Perhaps this moment was your mother finally giving you a smile of approval or a hug given by a friend during your time of need. In intimacy, we reveal our true selves. Therefore, in intimacy, we interact with and experience Spirit.

When people say they’re looking for a relationship, oftentimes they’re seeking intimacy–the ability to be accepted, loved, and safe in someone’s company. It is vital to know that intimacy does not have to occur romantically, and can be felt and experienced at any time. When we relegate intimacy to the bedroom, we leave ourselves needy and desperate for any semblance of intimacy and affection we can get. We jump at the first person who crosses our path, hoping they’ll be the one that we can experience the blissful joys of love and quiet intimacy with.

Enlightenment arrives when you realize you do not need anyone else to fall in love with; intimacy and love are things we feel and experience within ourselves, and proceed to project on others. No one else owns your intimacy, your love, your heart. All of those are yours, and are always available for you to reclaim and experience within yourself.
