Kari’s Elevated Goddess View Of Conversations with Goddess M. Elevated Sex 102: Goddess View for Men 6/19/2016
Sex is a sacred act, but modern perversion has twisted its sacredness into nothing more than a commodity. On last Sunday’s show, we discussed the significance of returning sex to its elevated energy and the importance of being comfortable in our own bodies and own pleasure.
Some people believe the sacredness of sex comes from keeping their “body count” low, others believe it comes from abstaining from sex before marriage. These things may be apart of the equation for some people, but for me, I believe sex is sacred because it is one of the most easily recognizable forms of alchemy. Two energies come together to be transformed and elevated into orgasmic creation; we allow ourselves to become completely vulnerable and open to the other person. In its sacred space, sex is an act of love and healing.
But now we live in a pornographic society; and sex is packaged as a product to sell to the masses. Sex has become violent. It has become a way to control or manipulate. It has become a tool people use to hide from their pain. It has also become selfish. We see it all the time in movies, and hear it all the time in music. Now we see people being grabbed and forced and clearly uncomfortable and in pain; this is now considered “sexy”. Instead of having sex in a harmonious cycle of give and take, one person is giving their all, worried about how they look or how they’re performing, and the other person is taking it all without giving anything in return. We feel like we can’t allow ourselves to be vulnerable–or be seen–because we’re ashamed of our arms or our thighs or afraid that we don’t align with the “sexy” image proliferated by the media, so we close our hearts, and in closing our hearts, we also keep ourselves from participating in elevated, sacred sex, because being elevated is about being in a state of surrender.
Sex is for transformation, sex is for creation, and sex is for pleasure. If we allow it to be these things, and allow ourselves to be fully vulnerable, then we can reconnect to its healing and sacred energy.
